Over 3 Million views!!!!!

Over 3 Million views!!!!!

Nora's YouTube channel (appropriately named "goodentree"), has been growing and growing. We continue to add new content and steadily gain new subscribers week by week. There are now 169 Nora videos on the channel and 5,700 subscribers. and that number is growing daily.

However, it's really the number of views that counts the most and those views have been climbing.

Fun fact:
A "view" only counts if the video is watched for at least 10 seconds.

When we broke the 1 million mark over a year ago, we really didn't take notice. I began to really pay attention to the view count early in the year, and dreaming about somehow finishing 2015 with over 3 million views.

Our primary goal when we began this, was to increase awareness for this disease. Surpassing 3 million views is a huge step in the right direction. I see it as 3 million people who have now seen SMA, when they previously had never heard of it. All thanks to the beautiful and captivating little girl in front of the camera.

The impact Nora has had on YouTube surprises us nearly every day. The flood of comments come in faster and faster. So many people learning about SMA and seeing how amazing Nora is. I set apart a couple days a week, just to attempt to read the recent comments and answer questions. Youtube comments are widely known for their extreme "variety". Most of the comments are kind and supportive, others are just questions, but some of the comments are simply cruel. I try and respond to the former and to just ignore the latter. Often our YouTube subscribers take care of responding to those types of negative comments for me.

Our goal for 2016 is to surpass 5 million views. It's going to be a challenge to say the least. Right now, editing each video to put in Nora subtitles and sync them to her speech, takes a lot of work. but the end result it worth it.

So keep watching and remember to SUBSCRIBE to our channel, hit that "thumbs up" button after you watch a video, and share videos as often as you can. Together we can teach the world about SMA and show how absolutely amazing these children are.

goodentree    /ˈgo͝odənˌtrēˈ/   noun

derived from our last name: Gooden and the idea of a family tree We came up with the name after we made the decision to start a family (have a child).
When Nora was born and diagnosed with the terminal disease SMA, her story quickly spread, and goodentree became established.
