Looking back 1st barfday

Looking back 1st barfday

So our little girl turned one today.  We had a big party and lots of Nora's friends came.

The bad part actually started the night before her birthday.  I picked up my sister at the airport and basically came home and spent the next hour in the bathroom.   So Nora's birthday came and the photographer showed up at 9:00am.  I had to sit that one out - nobody wants a picture of that.  Jaime took over and there got some great pics. By 2:30, I started feeling better so I was able to attend the party and see my little girl play with her birthday cake (which was amazing).  The party lasted a few hours and Nora got some great gifts.  Once the guests left, Jaime almost immediatly took her turn in the bathroom.  She's still in bed now with a bucket keeping her company.  A few hours later my sister complained her stomach hurt.  She took the 3rd shift in the bathroom.

All I can say it this stomach bug is evil.  Without my Dad and Jaime's Mom to watch Nora, I don't know what we would have done.  If we had been this sick without them here....well I don't want to think how badly things could have gone.  So now we are all watching Nora and the grandparents.  Someone will be next, we just hope it's not Nora.

goodentree    /ˈgo͝odənˌtrēˈ/   noun

derived from our last name: Gooden and the idea of a family tree We came up with the name after we made the decision to start a family (have a child).
When Nora was born and diagnosed with the terminal disease SMA, her story quickly spread, and goodentree became established.
