11 years together

11 years together
Today is the anniversary of the best day of my life.  The day I married Jaime.
It's been quite a journey together so far.  We were joking awhile back and we've both spent more time together life than we've been apart.  Yet, I still get excited to see her in the mornings and come home from work each day.   I often watch her as she's speaking, and think about how lucky I am and how beautiful she is.
We were sitting in a waiting room together yesterday, and I was just watching her scroll through pinterest on her phone occasionally pausing on interesting things.  She was dressed for work, and had her legs crossed while gently swaying her foot.  I could see her small bright yellow painted toes peeking through her pumps.  She's never been able to keep her feet still.  I was thinking about how empty my life would be without her and how proud I was to be sitting next to her.  Because she will always be, the love of my life.
Happy 11th anniversary, Jaime.

goodentree    /ˈgo͝odənˌtrēˈ/   noun

derived from our last name: Gooden and the idea of a family tree We came up with the name after we made the decision to start a family (have a child).
When Nora was born and diagnosed with the terminal disease SMA, her story quickly spread, and goodentree became established.
