10 19 Our Unbelievable Hollywood Studios visit

Our Unbelievable Hollywood Studios visit
Visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios was a last minute choice, but it turned out to be the highlight of the entire trip. Our experience was so completely different from the other parks. The absolute kindness and generosity was enough to make anyone shed a tear or two. "What are you doing standing in line?" the cast member told us... Share this

Witches brew clarification
The other day, we got a delivery from Schwans. Jaime hates grocery shopping with a passion, so she goes as infrequently as possible. Her aversion to all things grocery is mostly an extension of her germaphobia. She feels almost everything and everyone in the grocery store is covered in... Share this

Mickey's not so scary Halloween Party
Tonight was the Halloween Party. Due to the cost of the tickets, and it being a special event, we half expected it to be less crowded than it was during the day. We were so wrong. Before leaving for Disney, Jaime had hand-made us all costumes from the movie Inside Out. Nora was the blue haired Joy, Jaime Disgust, and I was Fear. It took her hours to find the matching... 10 05 Magic Kingdom 2015

Magic Kingdom 2015
We spent the day at Magic kingdom. Entering the park was crazy, we were amidst a see of people flooding into the gates. It was way out of our comfort zone, but little did we realize, this would be eclipsed by the crowds later that night. We went to see Ariel first and got waived right into the fast pass line. We were about 10 people back, and the sun and choking heat were... Share this

09 23 Disney 2015 Epcot

We arrived at Disney after a short two hour drive from the beach. We chose to stay at the contemporary resort again because it's walking distance to Magic Kingdom. The resorts that are further away require the monorail (packed with people) or ferry (barf) to get to the parks. Neither are a good option... Share this

09 23 Beach Disney Trip Day 2,3

Beach Disney Trip Day 2,3
The next day we didn't do much at all. It rained in the afternoon forcing us to be inside. In the evening we went looking for an arcade. Nora is obsessed with what she calls the "up-and-down game" - which is the crane/claw machine game. That dollar stealing trickery machine is something we played last year at Orange Beach. We got lucky and actually won... Share this

SMA sucks, pass it on
Just a few more days left in SMA awareness month!  Now, we're not going to ask you to dump ice water over your heads, or beg you to donate your hard earned money.  We are going to ask that for the remaining few days of August, you spend a few extra minutes to... Share this

08 19 New video! Garbage Pail Kids

I published a new video the other day.  This is another unboxing video of Nora and I.  This time we open a case of Garbage Pail Kids Mystery Mini's.  Garbage Pail Kids or GPK, hold a special place in my heart since I had a fairly impressive card collection as a child.   One in particular... Montana Grandma stops by
We got a visit from Montan Grandma (aka Mom) this past week. It had been a few years since she had seen Nora in person, although she is still very involved in supporting Nora.  Montana Grandma sends Nora a birthday card filled with stickers each month for her birthday and follows everything we post.  Everyone else knows Montana Grandma through her quilts.  She took all the pain of Nora's (her only granddaughter) diagnosis and turned it into something unbelieveable.  To date Montana Grandma has hand-made over 1000 quilts for CureSMA... goodentree    /ˈgo͝odənˌtrēˈ/   noun

derived from our last name: Gooden and the idea of a family tree We came up with the name after we made the decision to start a family (have a child).
When Nora was born and diagnosed with the terminal disease SMA, her story quickly spread, and goodentree became established.
