A rare look into Nora's very own room. See all the medical equipment is that is required to keep her healthy and comfortable. Our goal was always to make her room look like a little girls room and not like a hospital room.

Nora's bed is high enough for us to work on her without having to bend over. This is actually the 3rd design we've had for her room. The first was a crib that converted to a bed, but she outgrew it. The second was a much larger elivated bed but it took up too much room. This bed has a chest of drawers at Nora's feet and another set of shelves at her head. The ladder on the right side, allows us to climb up and lay with Nora. Nora often invites us up, saying "you can lay with me" or "come watch with me" then will say, "but don't crush my feet!" referring to how we enter the bed by climbing over her legs. If you are lucky enough to get invited up, Nora puts you to work right away by asking for you to rub her feet or back. Laying with Nora amidst and the stuffed animals, hoses, tubes, and cords while watching cartoons on her iPad, is the best way to start or end the day.
